Go Forward with Courage

“When you are in doubt, be still, and wait;

when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage.

So long as mists envelop you, be still;

be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists.

–as it surely will.

Then act with courage.”   ~Ponca Chief White Eagle

Sometimes, patience eludes us.  We think if we act quickly an opportunity won’t be missed.  In that moment we jump, we may be missing the experience as a whole.  All falls into place around us as we do the work that is needed.  When the time is right, our inner self knows.  Nothing in life is a quick fix.  It takes time to build your foundation before you act.   The mist will clear as your surroundings become more grounded.  When in doubt, be still.  You will know when it is time…allow the sun to light your path and follow it to your rainbow.

  1. What a lovely post and such very true words. Sometimes we act too quickly and miss the opportunity for growth and learning. When we still the mind and get clear on our intentions and problems the answers will often appear.

  2. Good advice! Fouls rush in where angels fear to trod. I “sometimes” think of that when I am about to do something stupid. Other times I just barge right in!

  3. Beautifully spoken as always Cindy!

    This brings on the thoughts of instant gratification. When one wants what they want immediately without doing the inner work that is necessary, things begin to crumble all around as the lesson was not learned.

    But if one takes the time and patience to wait for the right moment to act, then receiving occurs without struggle.

    Patience is the key to understanding life’s natural flow of things.

  4. May we all learn patience and flow naturally…thank you, Maria:) And Barbara, fools rush in with fouls! Good slip! Wishing you continued peace with your decisions, Amanda and PP:) Be still and you will be filled….
